 1. Designation
The network name « International network of Art Différencié », name given at the initiative of Creahm (B).
2. Objective
Its objective is to favourite, to develop, to promote and to meet the creativity and art aroused in the workshops of people with learning disability or having psychiatric disorder, in the European countries and worldwide.
3. Missions
The network mission is to encourage the artistic practices through the workshop's exchanges, the help to their creation, the meetings, the sharing of experiences and the participation to cultural projects proposed by the network members. It encourages the associations to engaged confirmed artists in these fields to conduct workshops. It will draw a data base (repertory of the members), an internet site.
4. Network composition and structure
The network of Art Différencié is a open structure, informal, composed of workshops who wishes to develop the practice of expressions such as painting, drawing, sculpting, printing techniques, music, singing, dance, theatre, video, comics …Members signing the present charter are keenly urge to develop these practices, while leaving their own identity and specificity to their workshops.
5. Projets
The network is not a project carrier. It encourages the members to create projects and to find partners within the network.
6. Informations - Communication
The network is considered as « resources centre », the coordination put to the disposal of the members the information concerning the arts, the mental handicap and mental disorder. The association members will distribute to the coordination and others members their own information. The coordination will elaborate an information quartely lettre send to each member. The network is particularly open to the general cultural world.
7. Label
Belonging to the network is in any case a label nor a guaranty of quality, but a label of practice.
8. Functioning – meeting- vote – membership fee
A committee has been created for a year period, with possible renewal at the end of the year. It is composed of four members , Yvonne Beelen (Herenplaats, NL), Helena Peterson - avec Eva Olofsson (Inuti, S), Paul Bokslag (KCAT, Ie) and Geneviève Joubert (Créahm, région wallonne, B). The committee function is to insure the running of the network, to have the charter respected and accept new members. The coordination of of the committee is hosted free of charge by Créahm, région Wallonne, 6 quai St Léonard – Liège (B). Geneviève Joubert is it representative. At the end of the year, and evaluation will be done, the present charter could then be remasterize.
The network members will meet at least once a year. The members are invited to host a meeting during an european project. The travel expenses and stay of the participants are at their own charge or of their association. Concerning the costs of the meeting and of the greeting, the association hosting is free to ask a financial participation.
Each workshop/association has one voice in case of vote. Votes are possible through e-mail, proxies and postal mails.
No membership fee is asked to be part of the network, since the mentioned network has no legal statuses.
9. Members
Only the workshops that signed the charter are accepted as network members. The committee, based on the charter can accept new members.
